LANGLOIS: My name is Robin Langlois and I’m the superintendent in the floral court and of the pumpkin contest. And the pumpkin contest has been around about eight or nine years or so. In the adult division we had six entries, in the children’s division we had three and they’re getting bigger so we don’t have a lot of room for them anymore. (laughs) This first pumpkin is the winner. It has the grand prize ribbon, which is orange with a little pumpkin logo in the rosette. And this pumpkin belonged to Peter Carter and his pumpkin weighed 1,095 pounds.
