Preserving Biodiversity

Steve talks with biologist Walter Reid of the World Resources Institute about the treaty on biodiversity being prepared for the upcoming Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Reed says the treaty will likely say all the right things about the need to preserve the world's myriad species of plants and animals, but will probably do little to ensure their protection.
